> PEC SAFELandUSA BASIC ORIENTATION COURSE

This course is a 1 day basic safety awareness course that is required by many operators in the Oil & Gas industry for all new employees prior to accessing work sites. This orientation is a baseline so all employees entering the industry are introduced to the basic requirements of hazard recognition, stop work authority, job safety analysis use, and other hazard mitigation concepts. Students will receive a temporary ID card upon successful course completion. In 4 to 6 weeks students will receive a permanent PEC Photo ID card - THIS COURSE CAN CURRENTLY BE DELIVERED THROUGH INSTRUCTOR LED VIDEO CONFERENCING  IN ADDITION TO THE TRADITIONAL IN PERSON CLASSES

 > PEC CORE COMPLIANCE COURSE(3 Day)  & PEC CORE REFRESHER COURSE (1 day)  

This course is an expanded course that goes more in-depth on many different topics that the Safeland Basic Orientation does not cover in depth. This course is required by some operators in the Oil & Gas industry, and is ideal for supervisors, foremen, safety personnel, and others who need an expanded knowledge of the basic requirements as well as compliance and mitigation strategies.  The annual refresher is a 1 day course. THIS COURSE CAN CURRENTLY BE OFFERED THROUGH INSTRUCTOR LED VIDEO CONFERENCING  IN ADDITION TO THE TRADITIONAL IN PERSON CLASSES

> 1ST AID / CPR / AED TRAINING

We offer several course offerings for 1st Aid/CPR /AED training through the Health and Safety Institute family of brands, including Medic 1st Aid and American Health and Safety Institute courses. Basic Plus, 1st Aid / CPR, Pediatric Plus 1st Aid / CPR, the ASHI BLS course for healthcare providers, stand alone First Aid, CPR / AED, Bloodborne pathogens training based on your specific needs. We also offer Emergency Oxygen and Wilderness Survival courses.  Training should be renewed every 2 years. This course is offered in person as well as a blended learning course, with hands-on skills assessment. THIS COURSE CAN BE COMPLETED IN THE TRADITIONAL 4 HOUR CLASSROOM SETTING OR THROUGH BLENDED LEARNING - ONLINE VIDEOS AND IN CLASS SKILLS ASSESSMENT. > MEDIC FIRST AID INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT 
Looking for a more cost-effective approach to train your employees in 1st Aid / CPR? Become a Medic First Aid Instructor! Bring your training in-house and train your own employees on your own schedule, house your own records in your company's training center. Classes are scheduled on an as needed basis. The Instructor Development Course is a blended learning course, with computer based training paired with the hands-on skills assessment and instructor development course completion.THIS COURSE IS COMPLETED IN A BLENDED LEARNING FORMAT - ONLINE VIDEOS AND TESTS, FOLLOWED BY A 1 DAY INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT SKILLS IN-CLASS SESSION. 
> NUCA CONFINED SPACE ENTRY TRAINING - ENTRANT, ATTENDANT, SUPERVISOR & COMPETENT PERSON
The National Utility Contractor Association Confined Space Entry Course has been developed to meet  the OSHA Confined Space for Construction standard. This course is a 1 day course covering the responsibilities of the Entrant, Attendant and Supervisor as well as the Competent Person, Air Monitoring personnel, and covers the requirements of each role. Our course includes both classroom training and hands-on practical training with the equipment employees will utilize to safely conduct confined space operations. THIS COURSE IS AVAILABLE IN BOTH ENGLISH AND SPANISH. 
> CONFINED SPACE ENTRY RESCUER TRAINING 
This course is designed to train your employees to perform the duties of the designated rescuer for confined space entry operations. This 2 day hands-on course will take employees through a variety of scenarios, equipment use, and rescue techniques. Additional training for respiratory protection, medical evaluation & fit testing, and 1st Aid / CPR is needed to complete the rescuers credentials. STUDENTS MUST HAVE COMPLETED THE INITIAL CONFINED SPACE TRAINING PRIOR TO TAKING THIS COURSE
> NUCA COMPETENT PERSON FOR EXCAVATION & TRENCHING 
The National Utility Contractor Association Competent Person for Excavation & Trenching Course covers the requirements for excavation & trenching protection as well as the duties of the competent person. This 1 day course includes classroom training with hands-on exercises for soil analysis and classification, cave-in protective system selection and the duties of the employers DESIGNATED COMPETENT PERSON.
THIS CLASS IS AVAILABLE IN BOTH ENGLISH AND SPANISH. 
> HYDROGEN SULFIDE AWARENESS COURSE

Our Hydrogen Sulfide Awareness course meets the requirements of the ANSI Z-390-2017 Standard for Hydrogen Sulfide Awareness training. This 4 hour course covers what hydrogen sulfide is, where it can be found, and what employees need to do to protect themselves when working on job sites where hydrogen sulfide may be possible. Respiratory protection, air monitor use and care, control measures, and industry best practices are also covered. Upon completion of this course students will receive a wallet card and certificate. Per the ANSI Z-390 standard, the training should be renewed on an annual basis.
> PEC H2S CLEAR COURSE

This course was designed by PEC Safety to meet the ANSI Z390 -2017 standard training requirements. Students receive a photo ID with this course. This 4 hour course covers what hydrogen sulfide is, where it can be found, and what employees need to do to protect themselves when working on job sites where hydrogen sulfide may be possible. Respiratory protection, air monitor use and care, control measures, and industry best practices are also covered. Upon completion of this course students will receive a wallet card and certificate. Per the ANSI Z-390 standard, the training should be renewed on an annual basis. PEC H2S Clear Hydrogen sulfide course available upon request. DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, PEC HAS AUTHORIZED THIS COURSE TO BE OFFERED THROUGH INSTRUCTOR LED VIDEO CONFERENCING THROUGH JUNE OF 2022 IN ADDITION TO THE TRADITIONAL IN PERSON CLASSES

> OSHA 10 OUTREACH HOUR FOR GENERAL INDUSTRY OR CONSTRUCTION
The OSHA 10 Hour course is designed to cover hazard recognition and mitigation for employees in General Industry and Construction. Both courses cover the INTRODUCTION TO OSHA and other specified required course content of the current OSHA OUTREACH GUIDELINES. Upon completion, students receive a Department of Labor OSHA Outreach card. This class is for 10 contact hours, not including lunches and breaks. Per OSHA guidelines, this class must be a 2 day course with no more than 7.5 hours in one day. There is a 3 person minimum for the class per OSHA's current guidelines. This course requires a minimum of 3 people to conduct. 
> OSHA 30 OUTREACH HOUR FOR GENERAL INDUSTRY OR CONSTRUCTION
The OSHA 30 Hour course is designed to cover hazard recognition and mitigation for employees in General Industry and Construction. The courses cover the INTRODUCTION TO OSHA and other specified required course content of the current OSHA OUTREACH GUIDELINES. Upon completion students receive a Department of Labor OSHA Outreach card. Class is for 30 contact hours, not including lunches and breaks. Per OSHA guidelines this class must be no more than 7.5 hours in each day, and requires a minimum of 4 days to complete. Both courses cover the INTRODUCTION TO OSHA and other specified required course content of the current OSHA OUTREACH GUIDELINES. This course requires a minimum of 3 people to conduct. 
 > DRUG & ALCOHOL REASONABLE SUSPICION SUPERVISOR TRAINING COURSE(DOT/FMCSA/PHMSA)
The Reasonable Suspicion for Drug & Alcohol training course is required for all DOT regulated supervisors to assist them with recognition of drugs and alcohol in the workplace. Topics include drug use and abuse, alcohol use, proper steps to conduct a reasonable suspicion observation, and reasonable suspicion testing requirements and documentation. 
> FALL PROTECTION TRAINING COURSES

This class is designed to address the recognition of fall hazards in the workplace, protective measures available, and proper selection, use & care of Fall Protection Equipment in accordance with OSHA's Fall Protection standard as well as the ANSI Z359.1 requirements. Hands on practice with fall protection equipment use, selection and inspection and evaluation, and rescue planning is also covered in this course. The course can be conducted in a 4 hour Awareness of an 8 hour Competent Person session. 
> DOT-PHMSA HAZARDOUS MATERIALS AWARENESS TRAINING 

This course covers the FMCSA/PHMSA REQUIREMENTS -The training is required for all HAZMAT employees in accordance with PARTS 232, 126 & 181. Hazard classification, safe operation of vehicles, specific requirements by hazard class, use of the Emergency Response Guidebook and many other topics are covered. This training shall be completed within 90 days of hire and then refreshed every three years. Training is scheduled upon request. 
> HAZWOPER  TRAINING 

These HAZWOPER courses are conducted in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120. Courses cover the requirements of the OSHA HAZWOPER standard.

> RESPIRATORY PROTECTION TRAINING & FIT TESTING

Employees utilizing respiratory protection in the workplace must be trained in proper use, care and selection of respiratory protection. Employees must also be medically evaluated and fit tested to ensure that tight-fitting face pieces create a good seal. We offer general respiratory protection training as well as medical evaluation and fit test services at our facility or yours. We can also assist in training your Program Administrator in their responsibilities. 
 > LOCKOUT/TAG OUT TRAINING - AWARENESS AND AUTHORIZED/AFFECTED EMPLOYEES 

Employees engaged in activities that involve the control of hazardous energy must be trained to ensure that they understand the proper procedures to utilize during Lockout / Tag Out operations. This course covers the requirements of the 29 CFR 1910.147 . Awareness level training is 4 hours. Authorized / Affected Employee training is 1 day. 

> HANDS-ON FIRE EXTINGUISHER TRAINING 

This course covers the basics of fire safety as well as hands-on practice with our Bullex Fire Extinguisher training system. This course is not just for the workplace - it is great for anyone who needs to learn how to use a fire extinguisher, including church groups, Boy and Girl Scouts, 4-H clubs, schools, and community members. 

> LEADERSHIP COURSE FOR SUPERVISORS

Supervisors and managers can make or break a company's reputation with their employees. This course outlines the leadership skills to be an effective leader instead of a resented boss. 

> ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION TECHNIQUES

This course outlines effective accident investigation techniques and methods for increasing employee reporting of near misses, first aid cases, and injuries / accidents. Techniques discussed include Root Cause Analysis, the 5 Whys, and the Fishbone Diagram. 

> PEC BASIC PIPELINE & GOLDEN SHOVEL COURSES

The Basic Pipeline course is directed towards the pipeline industry of Oil & Gas, and includes an emphasis on excavation & trenching and other pipeline specific course content. The course was designed to bring safer performance to the Midstream/Pipeline segment of the Oil & Gas Industry. Basic Pipeline is available upon request. The Golden Shovel Module is designed to cover the Golden Shovel Standard Knowledge section of the Golden Shovel Certification Process. This training is available upon request. 

> AERIAL LIFT/MOBILE ELEVATING WORK PLATFORM TRAINING

​This course is designed for operators of aerial devices (manlifts, aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and other mobile elevating work platforms). Operators of elevating equipment must be qualified. Formerly known as aerial work platforms (AWPs), under the new ANSI, they will now be replaced by Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs). The new ANSI A92 Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) includes design, safe-use, and training standards.
